laquer and enamal

could i paint over laquer with enamal if i cant then what about primer then enamal

Enamel over just about anything is fine. The solvents aren't very aggressive. Lacquer is another story. That should be used over primer in every case 'cause it attacks just about everything.


It's a moot point in California 'cause lacquer auto paint is illegal.
