Post large bore sleeves in Big Block

I am about to re-do my 454 bb. and i am planning a larger roller (268I 272E @.050 ls110) but i am not allowed to change the block to bowtie or other. and block must be 1970 or older

i have a #512 casting 4 bolt block, so my question is: can i have the block bored way out and have it sleeved to 4.500 inches bore.. or even 4.600 like the bowties come with (they have OEM bore spacing) is it possible ??

You could try it Deuce but if you break through the water jacket during the overbore for the sleeve you have just scrapped a block. If you want the bigger bore then get the thicker block. Sleeving the block would be a custom proposition and they don't work well unless the engine was designed for it in the first place. Perhaps you are thinking of a wet sleeve that actually has water circulating around the sleeve, the sleeve needs to be sealed top and bottom and there is no material to do this in an engine not designed for it.
