how hard would it be to put a 400 pontiac into my blazer?

well trucks are easier to work with than cars. YOu'll need mounts and either a new trans or an adapter plate.

i have a pontiac th350, a duel chevy/pontiac th350(i know its cool), and a chevy th350

i need to take guts out of chevy and put in pontiac.

i have a bare pontiac 400.

i hope it doesnt come to that.

For all that work and not knowing if its going to turn out right, I would just go to the boneyard, get myself a 350 that looked decent and drop that in and be done with it for 250 bucks. Swapping a motor into a truck like that is baby poop.

what can i move from my engin to a differnt engine?
everything but mains? can i get a new bare block and install my stuff?
my engine was real tight still so no rebuild is nessasary.

no dude, you can't do that. You don't know what overbore you'll need and all the parts are going to need to be machined to go into the block. Plus if you consider the cost of gaskets and such you're further ahead spending anywhere up to 500 bux for a decent engine. WHy not get an early 90s motor with a roller cam and a one piece main? That way you're turning a screw-up into an upgrade!

i found another blazer. its a 79 with a 400. its a tralering special whatever that means. its in almost perfect condition. asking price is $2500. but they might go down.
i havent heard it run or talked to anybody yet

A Pontiac 350 and a Chevy 350 are completly different motors, nothing internal fits......................

They have crate short block Chevy 350s at the dealership for around $2,000.

its just not worth putting a 2000 dallar short block in it.
im thinking about getting a new one and using mine for parts.

good god, if you're looking into getting a new truck, maybe you should rethink just getting a welder to fix the ear on that block and save yourself all this hassle!
