My brother and his son are building this truck and it looks so darn good. My nephew is about 26 and this is the first time he has ever wanted to do something like this with his dad so I love seeing it. He is learning from one of the best, my brother has a great eye for this stuff.

That's COOL! What does it have for drivetrain?

MARTINSR 12-28-2010 08:55 AM

401 Buick Nailhead with a ST400 (TH400 for you Chevy guys) and a 9 inch rear out of our late dads 55 F-100.

I just bought a carter WCFB off of a 55 Buick and was on line looking for a little information on it. I came accross an interview with your brother Russell about the Nailhead. It was really interesting. There is no doubt he knows his Nailheads.

My nephew is driving a 55 Hudson Wasp everyday and is getting tired of the little flathead on the hills around his home. So yep, you guessed it, he has a little 364 Nailhead he is building for it. It will look stock but have a nailhead in it. :D
Our dad was a Buick salesmen when we were growing up and my brother really jumped into it with both feet. He is reproducing (having them made) a 671 blower manifold and 6x2's along with a bunch of other things like alternator mounts and stuff like that. He is really doing well with the nailhead stuff.

If you happen to talk to him ask him what the differance was between the carbs on the 264 cui and the 322 cui in 1955?

I will ask him John, but right off the bat I don't believe there were any four barrel 264's.
