Launching with a TH350

I am a little on the noob side when it comes to launching an automatic from a standstill, how is it done correctly? The way I see it, I can wait for the green, and then floor it. I could also stand on the brake and bring up the revs. If I have a 3200 stall, how should I build up to the grand event?

Appreciate it guys.

You should be able to hold the car back,Hold the brake in rev it up to about 2800 to 3000,When you see the last yellow lite,Lite up, Put It on the floor.Leave when you see the last yellow lite,Lite up.It take's a little timing,But you will get it. Never wait for the green,Then you will be sleeping.

Are put a trans brake in your transmission,Then just hold the button,Rev it up,And let go of the button,And hold on!!!!!!

I get the best 60' and ET times by just bringing the rpm up just off idle a bit (1000-1200rpm) and rug it on the last yellow. This gives you the best shock on the converter giving the highest "flash stall". Yanks the front wheels often. It will depend on the available traction. You'll have to experiment a bit. Don;t expect much without drag slicks or ET streets or Drag radials at the track.
