leaf springs for 68 firebird

hey yall, it has been forever since i have posted on here! i have just been so busy with my ls1 install! but now that i finally have the motor mounted (not runnin yet } i was just startin to think about my rear springs. they are the original springs on the car and i know they wont do me any good for what i have planned! so i was wondering where should i go to get my springs. my ls1 will be putting about 350 to the wheels (not much i know lol) and this car will be my daily driver, but it will also have frequent visits to the track. so if you all have any suggestions on where i should go to get the springs, i would love to hear them. i have been thinkin about globalwest or jegs has a set?!? thankin in advance

If your going to change the rear springs you may want to pull the front ones too. Jegs should be OK, but around here we have other shops to order from...you might just want to ask around the local speed shops too.

re: leaf springs for 68 firebird

Some of the first-gen Firebirds came with multi-leaf springs that had a couple of extra leaves on the front side only. This was to reduce wheel hop. One of the spring makers might reproduce those.
