leaking front in a muncie
I have a rockcrusher 4 speed that is leaking between the bell housing and trans case. It was rebuilt a year ago. It never needs anymore fluid added so I guess you could say it is a small but annoying leak. Any thoughts of what to check first.

Search this site for threads about leaking Muncies.
Basically, it cant be fixed without repairing the countershaft bore in the main case, or buying a new case.

If you have more than a Qt; its over filled. If the countershaft bore is leaking, you need a new case most likely.
Now, it MIGHT be that the front bearing nut is beat up, as these transmissions will leak occasionally when the unit is at rest due to the 'windback threads' Find the source of the leak and we'll go from there
