leaking head bolts SBC 350
Hey all, me again. Well as some of you know I got my engine running. Unfortunately I have some fluid leaking along the bottom edge of one of the heads where it sits on the block.
At first I thought it was oil but now I'm pretty sure it's coolant. I determined this by removing the valve cover and exhaust manifold and wiping the wetness with a clean paper towel and it's not alot but it's the color of greeninsh as oppose to clear like oil which I dabbed a little from the rocker assembly to compare.
I did use sealant on all the bolts but not alot. I just put it on the threads. Now what I need to know is should I remove all the bolts and add more sealant? If so, do I do this one at a time or should I remove them all so I re-torque in correct sequence?
I'm not seeing any evidence of burning coolant out of the exhaust so I don't suspect the longer bolts are a problem. I do see wetness around the shorter exposed head bolts along the lower edge.
I hope I am giving a good description of the problem to be as clear as possible.
Have other questions with other issues but this is the most concerning.
