Leaky Rear Pinion Seal

The rear pinion seal on my non-posi 3.73 86 Monte Carlo SS rear end is leaking. I have never replaced one of these, how does one go about doing it? What's the torque spec on re-assembly?

Thanks!

You need to be carefull when doing this job because you may have collapesed the crush sleeve that would make the pinion cocked sideways causing the leak. This is best left to a pro or somebody who's had experience with setting up rearends as the crush sleeve provides preload on the pinion bearings.
