We have another post going about the same thing. Most of this stuff is a hit or miss gimmick or really does not work the way you would like it to. Your best bet is to hope the leather isn't too faded, purchase some new leather and replace the panel itself. I myself used vinyl instead of leather to repair the seat on my 1996 Mercury. The door panels were made of vinyl the same color as my seats. SMS offered this material and it was a lot cheaper than using leather. the car is a street driver with 160K on it. I wanted it too look good inside but didn't want the price of a leather hide. So vinyl was the answer. When you look inside, you'll never be able to tell - then again keep in mind that this is nowhere near or ever has been a show car.

Most auto upholstery only has actual leather in the seating areas. The rest of the seat covers are matching vinyl. I replace leather pieces all the time with vinyl that is hard to tell from the original leather. But, like Coodeville said, these are not show cars, they are daily drivers.
