lechler paint - anyone used it

Hi,

a lot of the manufacturers mentioned on this site are not available in the UK or are hard to find and expensive.
A name I keep finding in the UK is Lechler.
Are their products any good?

I want to use their 2k epoxy, then filler/primer, then a solid top coat, no clear.

I posted in your other thread, as I hadn't seen this one, but here goes...

Yes I'd class it as a quality paint scheme. Bad marketing in the UK has seen them relegated to the budget brand class, but from my experience (production painter for 14 years), they deserve better.

I haven't used their epoxy (epofan?), but if it's as good as the rest of their range then I've no doubt it'll be a great product.

I really like their Green Ti filler/ high build primer. Goes on well, builds well, dries fast, and sands easily no matter how long it's been left. You can also add up to 5% of their HS tinters, to give you a decent coloured base for good coverage with your topcoat.

Macrofan HS (single stage topcoat), is one of my favourites, comparable to the like of PPG and DuPont (if not slightly better). Good coverage, lays down nice and slick, and buffs easily. Two coats gives enough build for most applications, but if you do three then there's plenty of depth for a heavy flat & buff session.

These are about the only pictures I have of it in use, and they aren't very good, but it would certainly be high on my list for a Direct Gloss (single stage) job.
