Here are some before and during pictures of my car that I am building. It is a 1974 Impala 2dr hard top. I put a 75 caprice front end on it. I have Chevy truck 454 SS wheels on it With BF Goodrich radial T/A tires. It has a 350/350. The interior is near mint. So I am going to leave it as is for now. I am going to put the front end in primer so I can drive it this summer. I have a convertible frame that I am sandblasting and powdercoating. I have a 95 Impala SS LT1 350 engine with the 4L60E overdrive trans complete with computer and harness. The engine is at the machine shop right now and the trans it at the trans shop. I want to try and get the Chasis and drivetrain together this summer so next winter I can get the body done and set it on the new frame. Well enough rambling for now. Lets see your pics.

I have always thought that was one of the most underappreciated body styles GM ever built. Those wheels look good on there. Good drivetrain choice too, should help the old girl get rolling a little easier and use a little less fuel. You going to drop it a little? Took this pic at the Street Machine Nationals back in 1982, I still think this is one of the coolest cars ever...........

Here's a pic of my T chassis. It's in paint here and the rear radius rods and drag link weren't on yet. She's at the powder coaters getting done the same colors.

I want to build it to where I can get in it and drive anywhere. I told the guy at the machine shop that I want the engine as close to stock as possible. I want to be able to put 100,000 miles on it. I dont drag race it so speed is not a big deal. I kknow that engine will have all the power I would ever want. I dont think I am going to drop it. I dont want the lowrider look. And with this car dropped that is what everyone would think it is. I think I am going to put a cowl hood on it also. I am undecided if I want to 2 tone it black and silver. Or silver with black stripes like my convertible was. Here is a couple of pics of it.

getting ready to start freshing up my 56 chevy, its a 2-10 post car 327-350 hp turbo 400 and also my 48 chevy fleetline pro street its in mock up still.. :spank: to many projects lol

A couple of mine, 57 Nash Metro, front streched 22" top chopped 4" 572 blown BBC, 48 Anglia Thames Panel,, chris alston Chassis. blown 468 BBC, 69 Pontiac Bonneville, MY Favorite

I, too, have always liked the 69's ... both the Pontiac and the Chevy.

Both look a LOT better (IMHO) than the '68 versions.

BTW, guys (FYI) ... Hotrodders has a project journal capability. I love it! You can keep pictures combine with a short story (and part numbers!) which you can refer to later.

Badrat, you seem to have a lot to do. You need to let me hold that Bonneville til you get finished with the others. :mwink:

I love that 69 pontiac. That thing is sweet. As you can see I love those big ole cars.

With those wheels and a cowl hood only some tool in a rice box with a fart can would think that was a low rider if it was lowered a couple inches BUT....... it's your car. :cool:

I have a weakness for the big cars too,, so comfortable to drive, like floating on a cloud,, a BIG cloud, :thumbup:

I have been playing with this one lately, its an '85 Firebird. I have to pull it apart and clean it up. I took this pic today.

That scoop reminds me of highschool. Everybody had one and none were very functional.

It was the lowest thing I could find to fit over the tunnel ram.
