Lift Bars / LCA relocation brackets
I have a relatively new 355 Chevy motor in a 80 El Camino. In my longing quest for speed , one thing I would love to improve is traction. I know traction is always going to be an issue with an El Camino, but I want to make improvements. I don't have wheel hop when I nail it off the line but ofcourse it sure spins the tires.
Some say that your rear lower control arms should be parrallel tp the ground for optimum traction. If this is true why re-location brakets out there? And do they really help force the wheels into the pavement?
The other question is how much Traction is lost due to the deflection of factory control arms? Has anyone Really got an improvement with a good set of boxed control arms?
Basically would it be a decent investment to purchase either a set of lift bars, boxed control arms, or re-location brackets for my G-Body El Camino?
