Do you have a 2 Pc. rear main or 1 Pc. rear 305? If it is a 1 Pc. rear main roller cam block I recommend the '395 (last 3 numbers of the PN) Marine roller cam which was also used in the Ramjet 350 and HT383 crate motors. It looks pretty mild on paper but it's good for 340 FWHP and 400+ FtLbs FWTQ from 2,000 through 4,000 in an 8.7 to 1 350 with L31 Vortec heads. I'm putting together a 305 for a '66 C10 Chevy with this cam and 305 Vortec heads, it should be in the ballpark of 320 FWHP @ 5500 with 360 FtLbs at 4000 but the TQ is above 335 from 2,000 through 5,000 RPM. Not a TQ "monster" but not bad for a 305. For comparison a stock 70's 350 4 bbl. made peak TQ of about 320 at 3,000 and was down to under 270 by 4,000.
