Lifting 32 Ford 2 Dr Sedan body

I am redoing my 32 Ford 2dr sedan (all steel) and currently have the body off of the frame. Doing mock ups I can for see that I will have to reinstall/remove the body a few more times. Buddies are all getting too old with bad backs, sons are over the road drivers and for some strange reason wife says "no more help". Guess I am basically on my own.

Can I take a fork lift with the forks through the window openings (side to side) and lift? The body is solid but still wonder if this will put too much strain on posts.

A few of the posts that I have researched mentioned similiar lifing techniques but none were similiar body styles.

If I were to use a Forklift I think I would wrap the Forks with Carpeting to take the "edge" off of the Forks so as to not damage the Roof-if the Fork Tines are long enough no reason it wouldn't work-

I would use the forklift to pick it up, but not with the forks through the window.

Get a couple of those wide straps for lifting/pulling and run those through the window openings, then hook to the forklift tines. The strap won't tear up the sheetmetal.

Later, mikey

Looks like this Model T with frame attached was lifted by a fork lift. See far side.
