Thinking of buying a Lincoln Pro-Mig 180. Has anybody ever used this welder and what do you think of it? (couldn't find any reviews on websearches ) Thanks

re: Lincoln Pro-Mig 180

I have an old pro core 100. I did the mig conversion on. I think it is similar. I have had mine four years maybe and it has never given me any trouble. (knock on wood). Great little welder.
If I was going to buy a new one I would give the Millers a better look. Might cost a little more though.

Gots a MillerMatic 200. Bought it use in 86 and it's still hauling butt. The 180 should do well too....

re: Lincoln Pro-Mig 180

I had one and used it for a year. I worked pretty well. I upgraded to a 210 millermatic and what a difference. It is like using a different tool. It welds much easier with a better quality weld. With this experience, I would advise you to save a little longer and go with the Millermatic.
