You have to find the tee where the rear line splits off and goes to the rear wheels. Remove the line for the front brakes in that tee and put the line lock in there. Or, if that location is not convenient for a line lock, or if you want it up by the MC, remove the tee from its present location. Put a flare union on the supply line and connect it to the rear wheels. Put a flare union on the front line and run a new line up to the MC area. Then put your tee in between the MC and the supply line. Run the other outlet of the tee to the line lock and attach the new front line extension to the line lock. Of course, what you really should do is make the car safer by converting over to a dual master cylinder.

I am sorry to hear about your friend.
I would guess it was some typ of a freak accident. There are thousands of cars with line locks and this is the first time i herd of any typ of a saftey related problem with them. I had one on a 79 malibu wagon ( it was a 4 speed)that i drove daily for 3 years. The guy i sold it to still drives it a few time a week and that was 7 or 8 years ago... So they are really dependable as far as saftey goes... IMO. As far as the orginal question goes redsdad answered it. Make sure you use a double flare if you flare any of you own lines and "DO_NOT" for any reason,,, read again "DO_NOT" use any compression fittings on the lines!!!!!!!! Keith |
