Decent article on less-common GM engines

Some SEMA perspectives, from mainstream media and an offbeat blog:

they make a v8 powered american equivilant to a bmw. A bmw is a luxo sporty car, not a musclecar. A musclecar is supposed to be mean and brute, not 26 way power seat and blaukunupunkt (i know i mispelled it) stereo standard.

I like my move-em-yourself cloth seats and ac delco pontiac cd player with 7 band equilizer just fine, thank you very much. And the pricetag hurts real bad on those new GTOs, stick them- I'll get myself a mustang.

LS6, yea the commercial was bad even for the day 1969.

Where did you come up with the above crap, there was no CD offered back then and there was nothing said about BMW.
I don't think you saw the commercial or even know what a 69 judge is!

I have restored many and like the one pictured you could not afford the engine in it ramair 1V, so buy your mustang.
Just think if you had sold 5-6 of your houses you could have bought this judge that you knocked.

I am referring to the modern GTOs, the old ones (see link above) had the formula right. Apologies for the misunderstandings.

THE FORMULA
A) make it affordable
B) make it look super-fine
C) make it fast

the new GTO is not really affordable at 32+K, it looks alright but too remniscent of a 1998 Grand Prix, and I'll say that 0-60 in 4.9 is fast.
