yep...thats not it. It is for the other models but the 4dr hdtp is totally different. Its wider and is mounted further back than the rest so it ends up under the center pillar...heres a pic from another member...

I never picked up on the fact that the 4 door ht has a special brace. I was always looking for 2 door parts. I went out to Sherman and they specifically say they don't have the 4dr ht brace. I think the parts C&P sells is Sherman, so they probably won't have it. However, it was my experience that both Danchuks and C&P's were very helpful folks. Have you called them?

Unless it's a real rusty car, most likely just the outboard ends are bad?

I looked at the pic real good and it looks easy to make by welding pieces and a little forming. I used to make 60-66 chev truck floor braces before they were repo'd. 16 ga works real good for braces.

Just using the pic and going by your floor shapes, you should be able to make your own pattern.

Hi I'm no one and I have some ideas...

Is this a restoration?
Can you make a set of patterns off the good side and flip the pattern so you can make a mirror part?

Although that original brace is stamped, you could duplicate it out of flat sheetmetal and weld the corners that you couldn't bend.

Could you make a new simple fabricated brace that does both sides, then they'd match, if that is what you are trying to accomplish.

Later, mikey
