You know I am looking for a project. Should I borrow a chain saw and come on down?

LOL. That won't last long. I have my heart set on a 50s cruiser. Preferably a Merc but someone could probably talk me into a '56 Ford hardtop or convertible. You know if I just had to compromise.

We are pushing what the moderators will allow. You get my drift anyway.

And snowing again this morning. The 3" we got yesterday melted and now the yard is turning white again. I give up. There's always next year....

You don't have the equipment to deal with snow like we get. Our 3" would be a crippling event. The 16 INCHES 50 miles south of us would bring the southern states to a standstill....

Be glad it's rain. I would take 50 and rain over this in a heartbeat.

More rain. 32 deg, dark clouds. bbbbrrrr.
30 guys for our Sat morning breakfast...no rods again.

Doesn't look good for another 3-4 days.

I have a trans filter, gasket and fluid for a scheduled change before I drive again but the wether just won't cooperate.

Temp is all the way up to 45 now...

Lookin' like the Buick show and swap at the Fairgrounds might be OK tomorrow. I was going to skip it if it was going to be rainy and 50's but I'll have to see how it looks in the morning. I may go for a while if it's decent.

You might be able to get the trans serviced on Monday.

Not a local "cruise" but how about a local show? This was at the High school my mother graduated in 1936. Nice little get together, I didn't prepare for one of my cars so another year goes by without me putting something in it. But it was nice, a number of very nice cars and of course running into some old friends.
Today I attended three different car events in three different cities and was home for lunch at 12:30. LOL Ran into people I know at every one of them, that is one of the best things about these events, the good conversation.

Here's a few photos.

They had a band playing and a great food stand some very good stuff to eat.

This old rail use to race out at the local drag strip that was closed in 1988 because we needed another Starbucks, Blimpies, Lowes, ToysRUs so badly, don't get me started.

This Chevelle was on the cover of Hotrod, Car Craft and in others back in 1980, very nice car and still looking real good.

I loved this Chevy, seen it before and it is outstanding in the detail department, VERY nice truck. The side mouldings are painted on and very well done.

It was a pretty good turn out with the proceeds going to the auto shop program at the school.

This truck has been around town for years and years and I have always dug it.

I went to another one today that was not my thing with it mostly being late model stuff so it didn't grab me that much.

Brian

83 degrees today for a friend's rod shop open house. Parking was a real issue, as way more cars showed than expected with the great weather! Tomorrow is our first Sunday monthly breakfast get together, and should have a big turnout also with great weather!

You guys are killin' me..........it finally stopped raining here about 1:30 and the sun came out about 2 hopurs ago. We've already been doing yard work before the next big snow.....

We have a big show and swap tomorrow and the forecast is looking like it might be OK. Still drizzly and cool in the morning but clearing up around noon. Still not sure if I'll go....

Brian, I WANT that Blue and Silver '66 Chevelle. Just tell me where to bring the cash and trailer....
