We need more MOPARS on the threads!!! G.M. is probably 98% of the topics on here with 1% Ford, 1/2% Mopar, the other 1/2% Is "What do these plugs look like or my car wont start" Etc LOL

Where are the A.M.C.s They built some good Muscle cars TOO!!!!!!

This guy had a picture of Andy and Barny on his car but I don't remember Andy ever driving a Mopar police car on the Andy Griffith show I thought he drove all Fords on the shows and smoked Winstons off and on!!!!! Even in his picture on the car its a Ford LOL But he says they used Mopars too!

So Ive been watching the show with my grandson in the mornings to see if a Mopar will be Andy's and Barny's vehicle of choice LOL But so far I see all Fords!!

Its a great show though!!!!!! We need shows like that in this day and age

I did find this on a search: Andy Griffith show what was the make of police car?

[Quote]: ANSWERS
" Altogether, there were about 10 different cars used throughout the run of the series and it's spin-offs. Almost all of them were Galaxie 4-door sedans, but in the "color" years they used a Ford Custom sedan part of the time." [Quote]

BUT:

[Quote]ANSWERS
"On Gomer Pyle -- USMC and Mayberry R.F.D., a Dodge squad car could occasionally be seen on the streets of Mayberry." [Quote]

A bit of trivia LOL

All that remember were Galaxies when the state police came in to help Barn and Andy capture a escaped fugitive the would drive different cars, but the one I remember most was the 62 thru 65 Galaxies ,but the 62 the most memorable

But there were special apperances by other vehicles around Mayberry

(Mount Airy) on occasion..LOL
