Thanks for the PICs Chris. I hope it grows even bigger. It will be great to have something close to home to look forward to. Good luck.

Bummer. Supposed to cruise to Beef O'brady's tonight. 75% chance of rain. Not going to happen. Self pity is depressing.

It sure was a convertible night in Chattanooga today. The tops were down and the cruise to the Sonic couldn't have been better. Life sure is good.

Thanks Chris. I thought so too. I hate to keep it going by posting my pictures. We usually have pretty much the same group. (30 cars or so). People don't want to see pages of the same cars. The Coker tire cruise is coming up the 29th. Maybe I can get some interesting pictures of it. Thanks for your post.

Thanks for posting Supercharged. Looks like a fun day. Wouldn't it be nice if there were more shade trees in parking lots?

I belong to a group called "The Wanderers"
We meet at a Perkins on Wed mornings year around for breakfast. At 10 am The "Wagonmaster" or tour leader gives a whistle and the round them up sign just like Chuck Conners used to do.

You would not believe the car collections and other collectors and museums we have visited. Most trips are about 100 miles long and are on the back roads. We usually stop for gas once. We seldom drive on the freeway.

Usually we have 20-30 cars. Occasionally we do an overnight drive. also we hit some of the farm breakfasts and tours.

Sometimes we just go for a drive along the Missippi river or St Croix river. Many neat sights and look outs.

It's also an all weather thing so you have to be prepared to get wet, dirty ( we have lots of dust here), you will get a few rock chips from the gravel roads that we encounter (sometimes they just are not avoidable), and it can get very hot or very cold. Helps to have a good heater and AC.

We have had very few breakdowns. A loose wire, bad ign module, some have hot start issues but for the most part very reliable cars.

Cars range from pre 1920 to new muscle cars but the majority are pre 1967.

You can see a shot in the rain in my last picture.

There are about 100 guys in the group. We have no officers, no dues, you only need one club shirt or jacket and you don't even have to wear it. haha

Sounds like a fun day. There is an old saying. "A picture is worth a thousand words" LOL Hope you take your camera next Wednesday.
