Well, said I would post pictures of our Monday night cruise but it rained cats and dogs. A few of us did gather but the only picture I could have taken was of our daily drivers. I am posting a picture of a few of us at the Local Cleveland, Tn cruise that is held at the courthouse square 4th Saturday of each month.
Just got back from a really nice night at the Ooltewah, Tn Sonic. Had about 30 cars. I thought we had some pretty neat rides as well as good people there.
I took pictures, with a cell phone!!!! its an old phone no minutes went home to load em and don't have a cord!!!!!!ain: Went to get a cord and I have to order it:smash::smash::smash:ain:!!!! Ill take more Thursday with a real camera!!!!
I think most of us started rodding in our teens. But in my pics there are no young people, I think the youngest is 50!!!! John long Any younger guys at your get together or in your club?
You know, there are not as many as I wish but yes there are some. Thomas "Hot Rod" Holt is probably 40. He owns the plymouth gasser in the picture. Jeremy Blbry who posted above is in his 40's. He has a really cool '37 Ford Club Coupe. My 41 year old son in law has a nice 39 Chevy 2 door. There are others but you are right. The sport needs young blood. One thing I have noticed though. The younger guys who like the older cars are a good bunch and I enjoy being around them. Maybe it would be good to post some pictures of the young guns with their cars from some future events.
That is Kevin Gill. He is fairly young himself. He goes by OoltewahSpeedShop on the H.A.M.B. The car is really something. It Is truly an old hot rod out of the past.....complete with Columbia overdrive rear end.
I've been doing hot rods for 40 years, and had I started with a T-bucket, there would have been a lot less hot rods in my past. If your T is set up right, the power to weight ratio's performance is just plain addicting. It took me a long time to stop fighting the Laws of Physics, trying to make a 4500 lb shoe box have any kind of stellar performance. This ride from about 25 years ago was sporting a Ford 427 side oiler and I still put a blower on it for more. My Track-T has 300 less ponies but would out gun the blown '55 in every respect.
The little sleeper, I-10 westbound, returning from a weekend in SE Arizona.

Check my last picture. Down pour, 9 hours of it. haha 25 cars on this trip.
I forgot the sand and gravel roads too.
We meet on Wed for breakfast then go someplace...determined by the "Wagon Master". We travel the back roads of Minn and Wisc with occasional trips to IA.
Better be able to burn 87 as that's all some towns have.
We met yesterday at a reopened by new owners root beer stand that was closed for a long time HOGS & DOGS 5 P.M. till closing 6 miles from my home!! The meets will be every Wed. 17 cars this time, but should get larger each week though! My wife and I had a good time! I took a good camera:mwink:
