RANT coming...........
I am SO SICK of this never ending winter. It rained here yesterday morning and by noon 80% of my yard was snow free. Around 1:00PM it changed over to freezing rain and then snow. Woke up this morning to 6" of wet, heavy snow AGAIN. And we didn't get the worst of it. 150 miles north in Two Harbors, they got 22" OF THE FREAKIN' *****.

Did I miss something and forget to flip my calendar back one month with the time change...

Back yard view.

what he said, a well done Ride for sure

hey, TMP, I noticed that 2 bird feeders have squirrel guards on them - - - are the ones on the left "first come first serve" or to keep the tree rodents from tearing up the 2 nice ones? hahahaha Yes, I have been there, snow and all

Sorry John, didn't mean to threadjack your pleasant topic..
Yes, your car is very nice and I wasn't going to bring it up again, but your new carb must have been influenced by the old one and thinks it's supposed to be backward too....

The feeder on the left is a stainless thistle tube that the rodents can't get in and a thermometer that I don't look at anymore.

The cedar feeder is 10 ft from the house and we have a had a few "enterprising" squirrels learn how to climb the side of the house to get on the roof and jump that span to the feeder. I just shot one lucky winner a month ago who had decided that was easy food. His predecesor was very skitish and took me 6 months to nail. By then it had chewed up the retaining tray on the feeder so the seeds just fell on the ground... If the dang things stay on the ground, they can be here but when they get destructive, they "move on".

No one has highjacked this thread. You are just contributing to the "with friends" part. It is odd how the Carburetor just falls in place when you put it on backwards. The linkage, heat riser, and vacuum port all are designed for the carb to be installed that way. I assume Offenhouser planned for it to go on this way. The carb appears to not know it is bass ackwards.

I really appreciate the kind words from all of you guys. The best thing about the car is it is such a pleasure to drive.

I hate that so many of you guys have not been able to enjoy this spring. Hopefully it will get better soon.

Well it isn't over yet. we are supposed to get more snow and rain and cool temps all the way to next week end.

I almost go the trailer out of the mud but it was just too soft to risk getting stuck. Fortunately the trailer is on relatively high ground so it drains pretty well. I did get the new parking spot ready. I'll be able to just run in and out of the trailer without moving it. It's also my portable work shop.

I need an awning but I'm working on that.

I plan on getting over to Stillwater on Wed ....if we get a summer.

The lakes around here still have up to 24" of ice on them and north is much more. We'll still be ice fishing on May 11th.....

It was a little cool today and the crowd at the sonic was smaller than I expected. I am trying to post some pictures of a few cars that have not been posted befor.

i did not stay too late but did have a good time.

This is one sweet ride with a 348 under the hood.

This fellow owns a Torino he bought new and is till new but this fairlane 500 is my favorite. It has a little patina but is still a really cool ride.

I really think this is cool but I swear it appears to have copper brake lines.

Just as much go as show here. The rear tires had about 24 inches between them. Nice car.

Now you know I am going to sneak at least one picture of my car in. I try not to be too vain but mostly I am just "trying" according to my wife.
