Locate magazine??

I am looking for the magazine and issue that featured a 68 - 74 style nova. It had 2 tone paint that looked awesome and I must find it before I paint my car! It was blue and silver with a custom interior. I think the article said something about the dude's trailer and car were stolen before some show or photo shoot or something... then he either rebuilt one identical, or found the original car and had to restore it again. The magazine is about 2-4 years old.... I checked all of the muscle car magazine websites for that car in their featured sections, but no luck. Does anyone out there have any idea what magazine or issue that was??

Thanks in advance!
Sean

I did in fact think I knew the car and searched back in my collection of Hot Rod, Car Craft, ChevyHiPef and PopHotRodding but failed to find it.

Ahh, thanks so much for looking! This weekend some time I am going to try and contact Primedia, I think they are the parent company of a majority of the muscle car magazines, maybe someone over there knows what I'm looking for. Anyways, for anyone who is interested, this is an illustration I made of what I want my Nova to look like.... what do you think?

Custom hood, front end, etc.....

That should be pretty tasty, have you tried an image search for 1969 Nova ?
Have a look here and
here for ideas.
I had trouble recieving my mags from Primedia and soon found out they donīt know their elbow from their A.....
If you had some more info I could go back into my mag stack.

Thanks for the heads up on Primedia. As far as more info on the car, I'm pretty sure it was 2-tone blue and sliver like the illustration. If I remember correctly, the car was on air-bags and big rims. I think the article said something like it was the second version of that car that he built. Something about it getting stolen from a hotel on the way to a car show in another state...

This if funny, the guy I bought my Nova from actually had the magazine. However he did a lot of drugs and he just isn't 'there' anymore if you know what I mean.

Anyways, thanks again for the help.

Maybe we could narrow it down if you told us the date you bought the car,
as the seller had the mag.

Yea I can visualize the picture where I think it was a 2-page spread, where the car was facing to the left. Just in case someone was going to try this, I completely searched all the magazine websites for feature vehicles, etc, with no luck. Thanks for everyone's help on this!

ok i think i found it... but i think it was featured in another magazine too... the one i found is the janurary 2005 carcraft. page 68-70. but there is no mention of it being stolen in that issue. i do remember reading that it was stolen, but it may have been another magazine feature.

the 2005 janurary carcraft has a 69 convertable camaro indy pace car on the cover. i'll check my other magazines to see if it is also in another one, but this should be a start.

now i just gotta find that magazine with the junkyard head search article...
