Post lock-up convertors

Put this on the wrong site before. Sorry. I have an 83 bonneville wagon. 231 v/6. Traded the carb and distributor for pre ECM models from an earlier year. Now the convertor does not lock up. I've been told I can wire a direct or toggle switch 12 volt to the trans switch and revive the lock up capability. If I can do this,to which wire do I tie into to? The trans plug in has 2 wires. The trans I'm told is a 350C.

I did something similair to a TH350C. if memorey serves, the front wire is positive, the rear is the negative, you can run it to a toggle switch as I did, or you can order a kit to make it work normally. I`m still foggy on for sure if the wires are right, so maybe someone here can refresh me if I`m wrong.
