What's your part no.

Some Holley's have a lock out feature. Yes it's pretty much a race only thing. Makes for very hard starting.

part number is 890-101 so this set up will suck on the street. i only plan on driving 1 or 2 times a week maybe. or more. i heard msd has a retard timing on starting. i read that some boxes control timing on each cylinder. so is there a box that can control my ign curve on my locked advanced ?????????????????? do they sell macanical cuve kit for my holley dist.?

I don't know. I couldn't find anything on the holley web site about that part No.

My guess is it's a computor controlled dist with no advance mech. I would call holley and see what they say about it.

Put a toggle switch on the dash , between the distributor and the power source.Crank the ignition for a second and then flip the toggle(power) on. It will start easy. This won't do anything about it running on when you turn it off though.
