Long Sitting TH350

This TH350 that I got along with the 350sbc were sitting on a garage floor for about 7 years. The engine I have rebuilt and the machine shop thought that from their conclusion the engine had relatively low miles for it's age. They estimated about 50 to 60k so very little machining was needed. That being the case, obviously the trans had the same for mileage. Is it safe to say that with a fluid and filter change this trans is okay to use as is? The fluid in it now doesn't smell burnt or bad but does need a change.
Secondly, How do you drain and refill the torque converter since I have this apart?

The trans will probably be ok if it hasn't been wet. Change the filter and fluid and you should be ok. Not much you can do about the converter. Shouldn't be necessary to drain it. Make sure you have a good trans cooler.
