lookin for the right gear!!!

i have 2.29 gears in a 80 cutlass 305 with a big cam .30pistons holley carb 350 turbo trans lookin for a decent gear for highway but more importantly good off line that wont kill me on gas?

You can't have it all. Pick the one thats most important to you and learn to sacrifice a little on the other two. You could do a 3.08 set, but the best way would be to yank that 350 for a 2004r. Direct bolt in, ditch the vacuum line, add a bracket for a TV cable, drive. 0.67 overdrive means you could put 3.73s in there and they'd act about the same as the 2.29s in there now.
