Looking for 14" air filter

Well, I did the search and found some info but what I'm trying to find is the part number/brand of any kind of true 14" paper airfilter. I know I can buy the Mr. Gasket 14" and it measures 14" but its like 16 bucks at Checker. I seem to recall there was a mid 70's pontiac application that had a true 14" filter in it. Anyone have any suggestions? ( please....no one tell me to buy a K&N!LOL) Just looking for the basic Puralator or Fram numbers.

Mark

The filter that is in my 90 full sized Chevy truck is 14" I believe and is about 3" tall. I cannot remember the Fram number at the moment.

I would not use a K&N either

Edit: Fram CA326

Thanks Vince. I'll ck Checker tomorrow. I've had some 14" elements in the past but all were actually like 13.5 and they looked really crappy in my nice chrome housing! LOL

Now I have a 14 by 5 Accel foam filter, but really want to go back to paper.

That may have been it!
Found the Purolator number for that one, A60074, 13.91" OD by 3.04" high. I can stack up to 6" and still have hood room. Might even glue up some cherry, maple and black walnut and turn a new lid on my lathe. That would be cool!

Vince, that Fram number shows to be a 12x3.5" filter.

The closest thing Fram has to a 14" is the CA136, which is 13.4" in diameter. That must have been the one I was getting long ago. I'll call Pepboys tomorrow and see if the Pontiac one is still available.

I know I have seen some 3 1/2 - 4" tall 14" dia. filters at the auto zone store here. My buddy was looking for a certain size filter and went in there with a tape measure and started measuring til he found what he wanted. There were some 5 1/2" tall ones but the ones we checked were 12" od.
