Hi Guys -

I'm looking for a pistol grip air shear, one that has the three blades (center blade trims). I found these, but they are pretty pricey.

Can anyone out there recommend something? Preferably something that will trim 18-19 gage. Thanks!!

I'm certain you want the air powered for a reason, but I use the Kett brand Shears (it seems a lot of Aircraft guys seem to like them too). I priced them on Amazon.com and they have them for $124.00.

when i bought mine from harbor freight, they were only $29. guess the price went up in 5 years... but i have been happy with the performance. i have the pistol grip one.

I have a pair from HF,keep a spare set of blades on hand, but havent needed them. Keep them oiled and lube the blades, works for me.

i have been using mine to cut 16 gauge steel... but being lazy one day i just dragged over the air shear to cut off a piece. before i realized i was cutting a doubled up piece. cutting through the top piece and the piece below it. i was wondering why it was soo hard to cut... but it cut in about 6" before i realized my mistake. but for the most part it is good. haven't had to change the blades yet.
