Looking for body parts for '52 Ford

I'm looking for replacement front and rear fenders and running boards (fiberglass or otherwise) for my 1952 Ford truck.

the kicker is (as my icon shows) i'm a Canuck, and need the source to be in Canada to avoid major shipping costs.

if anyone knows of companys that are based in Canada a push in the right direction would be helpfull.

thanks all
-Romulas

52 Ford truck parts

Alan Wood in the Toronto area sells nice fiberglass parts for Ford trucks. His phone number is 517-666-2515. Good luck.

I suppose you know that the 48-52 is the same except for the lower front fender/grill parts. The cab, running boards and rear fenders and rear of front fenders are all the same and only minor differences in the hoods. Personally, I would stay away from fiberglass pieces.

1952 part difference

Just so you clearly know, the difference in 1948-50 and 1951-52 front fenders is in the front section true, but they are not intermixable using 1948-50 uppers with 1951-52 lowers. They are different fenders. The rear fenders from 1948 to mid 1950 had an offset stamped in the flange to fit against the bed. In mid 1950 Ford changed to a flat sided bed and changed the fenders to a flat flange, this bed ran thru 1952. There is nothing wrong with fiberglass anymore than any other reproduction product, if it is well made it is good to use, if not well made it will be a problem. Keep in mind that about 50% of the street rods today are fiberglass and huge numbers of them are show winners. With the scarcity of good rust free sheet metal for these trucks, if you ever want to drive your truck you will likely end up with good fiberglass fenders on it. Good Luck.

"52 Ford Parts

Hi Romulus ,I'm dealing wiith similar problems on my '48 ,I applaud Realhotrod for his accurate description of parts differences between model years .I personally have to recommend going through some classic truck magazines ,as they are FULL of advertisers who sell repop parts .If you do go with 'glass parts be sure to ask what the manufacturer recommends to use INSIDE fenders to keep from getting fenders dinged up with"star cracks" from rocks flying off the tires .
Good Luck with your rod !
