Looking to buy this 1932 Chevrolet Coupe

Hi all, great site... I'm just wondering on what you guys think of this coupe I want to buy. It has incorrect frame/fenders/hood (1930 from what I can tell) and is missing the deck lid. Anyway I was planning on building a fenderless hiboy and replacing all wood with steel. The car is $2000.00 for the package, let me know what you think... Jim

WELCOME to Hotrodders.com

As a long time 32 Ford owner and a Moderator here ... I want to be the first to WELCOME you here ...

A deck lid might be a little hard to find ... and you know about all the wood in the 32 Chevrolets ... so you are on your own determining the value ...

But you may not know ... Chevrolet sold more 1932 Chevrolets in 32 than Ford sold 32 Fords ... just not many survived ... due to the wood inner structure

The 32 Chevrolet is a good looking car IMHO ...
Again WELCOME ...

Full fenders example ...

A 32 5W Chevy coupe obviously influenced by the 32 Ford American Graffiti coupe.

That looks like a good project car for you. Sell off what you don't want and the price you will pay for just the body will make it a really good deal. Fiberglass truck lids are available for that body. I sure like the looks of the chopped and channeled yellow coupe. Good luck with your project. The carnut site has a lot more pics of 32coupes as well.

These Chebbys make great rods, once you get past the wood issue. Not knowing your back round with building makes it hard to advise. We have one here in town that is built as a traditional hot rod, red oxide, white firewall white walls and a SBC. Very cool little rocket.

If you buy it or not , hang around this site. Lots of sharing folks here.

Welcome, Youngster
