Post Looking for custom or blank bellhousing..

First post from newbieland here....

I thought I'd see what the hot-rodders do.
I am looking for a source on custom or blank bellhousings that will let me get creative with different engines. I will be using chevy manual trans behind the bellhousing. I have seen Lakewoods scattershields and hayes. I was wondering if there anyone can point me in the direction of a undrilled/indexed chev bell that I could get custom with to adapt to the motor?
I am wanting to go Mercedes 300Turbo Diesel to Chev 4 speed manual. I will redrill a SBC flywheel to fit the benz crank.....don't flame me,gotta have a dream ya know : ). My hat's off to you guys that don't go mainstream with the same ole swaps. That part of the fun and learning process.
Suggestions appreciated.

Why must the bell housing be blank?

Just buy a Lakewood for a Chevrolet and drill it to fit the MB Turbo Diesel. The extra holes would not hurt.

If there is a straight drive flywheel for a MB Turbo Diesel, I would drill and tap it for a Chevroley pressure plate and make me a custom pilot bearing. This way the MB starter will work. A Chevrolet flywheel would most likely upset the engine balance on the MB.

I have a 40 Ford with a Chevrolet 283 adapted to the stock 40 transmission. I use the stock 283 flywheel redrilled to a 40 Ford pressure plate with a Ford disc. Made a pilot bearing that fits the Chevrolet crankshaft and the Ford input shaft.
