Looking for an early 50's project

Hi there...a newbie speaking here, so please forgive me.

I'm looking to pick up an early 50's (1950 to 1954 seems to interest me the most) Ford (possibly Chevy if the mood strikes me right) to rat rod and have fun with.

I'm in Western Washington State (Tacoma, to be exact) and have spent about 6 months looking in Autotrader magazine, here on hotrodders.com, in local newspapers, Ebay (most of the cars are in Kentucky or Florida, I need something closer), etc. and haven't been able to find anything close to what I want.

Best case scenario: a 51 ford crown victoria with a decent interior and decent motor that has the world's worst paint and needs some chrome work. (basically...something that is drivable for weekends but can be worked on during the week)

I have used the search feature but haven't found an option that I think would fit what I was hoping for. So, does anyone have a good (or even a so-so) vehicle search or classifieds list for someone in the Pacific Northwest?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Find a project!!

Keep watching the papers and watch for prices to drop. I have seen $8900 cars drop to $5500 and they are really decent cars!! But you have to follow them to see if the owner is motivated enough to drop his price...I have also seen $7000 cars for sale a year ago go up in price of stay at $7000...owner is not flexible...won't deal!! You can go out of your price range looking...the owner just has to meet your pocket for you to own his car!!!
