Looking for a fuel filter cover or a metal fuel filter. Suggestions? (pic)

My car has a glass fuel filter. A friend of mine warned me of the potential hazard of the glass fuel filter breaking. I've been freaked out since then.

Does anyone know of a metal cover that you can install around the glass fuel filter?

Who makes a good metal bodied fuel filter? How do I make sure that it will work with my car?

Fuel Filter....

Hi,you can buy the fuel filter assembly from NAPA,dont remember the cost, but the filter screws on like an oil filter.

You can buy a metal inline filter. I believe the Wix part# is 33033 or NAPA 3033. This will be for 3/8 fuel hose.

AC also makes a metal inline unit for 3/8" hose (pn GF61P), but it will rust through at the bottom if you don't change it often enough, which is why I now use the clear plastic Wix filters (pn 33003).
