Looking for ideas

We've looked everywhere and we can't find a 45 degree uplift water neck for our Pontiac. Our braided radiator hose is laying on the rocker arm cover. There isn't any place to mount a bracket support to hold the hose up. Does anybody have any idea of what we could put on the bottom of the hose between the rocker arm cover and hose so that we can raise the hose up to 1/2" that would still look good as this is going to be visible to the public.

How about pulling the water neck off and making a 1/2" thick spacer to fit under it. If the spacer is the same dimensions as the water neck it should hold the stat in place just fine. This would require the use of a second gasket between the spacer and neck and 1/2" longer bolts, of course. Material choice would depend on the material of the neck and/or intake manifold, polished aluminum or painted cast.
That's how I'd deal with it without the benefit of pics. Good Luck!

I used a 3" section of black foam water pipe insulation on my upper hose. It's neat, clean, and obviously doing the job it was intended for. No extra or fabricated brackets required

X2 on what Sqz said, and they also make protective sleeves just for that or to protect the hose anyway JMO and they don't look bad either.
