I am in search of information on a reproduction tailgate or a used tailgate that i can purchase for a 1963 nova station wagon Im very desperate now ive had the car for almost a year and ive been searching for it since i purchased the car i dont really care if its pretty beat up i just need one. I don't have a source for you but just curious, how bad is the original gate? Could the framework be straightened then a new skin or partial skin installed? Assuming collision damage is the reason for replacment. Ferguson or another skilled metal man might be able to fab up the sheetmetal you need. Just an idea/option. A lot of sheemetal thought once not to be repairable years ago is being repaired, just takes a plan and time. Hunting for a year is a long time. Bob

see thats the problem i bought the car from a wrecking yard and it did not have a tailgate and at the time of the purchase i didnt think it would be this hard to find a tailgate.
