I have built and drove more a few real Z28 and they're dogs on the street. The last one I did was in a car with less than 20k on it and the owner insisted on going back with a blueprint cam. the car would not get going till 5,000RPM and would rev to 7,000 and still not really be going very fast. They wer probably a decent road race engine but not very useful in 3,000lb street car.

The 7140 cam is still raced on some dirt tracks. They make good power, very easy on valve train parts because of the lazy ramps.
