The following is a list of wheels w/the same pattern as your '40:

5 on 5-1/2"

AMC - Jeep (5 bolt)
'42-'89

Chrysler 8 cyl. & wagon
'46-'55

Imperial
'54-'66

Ford All
'28-'48

Ford Full size P.U., van, Bronco
'49-'89

International Scout, TravelAll

Lincoln All
'52-'60

Mercury All
'39-'51

Suzuki Samurai
'86-'89

In addition to the wheel bolt pattern, wheel width, offset, diameter, etc., etc. needs to be considered to ensure proper- and safe- fitment.

As far a styles go, personally I like both spoked wheels (original style) or "steelies" w/either a baby moon or the "Ford" script, small "dog dish" covers. Wheels either black or body color.
