Looking for some help on my 454 stroker build

Hi guys,
I'm building my first motor and its a stroked 454. Its going in a 68 firebird. I already have a Hi Perform stamped block that hasn't been bored, I have a 4.25 stroker crank and I have a set of Merlin 269cc oval part heads. I'm looking to get around 550 to 650 hp, What kind of rods do I need, how do I pick the length? Any suggestions would be a big help. The car is going to be a street car mostly, but it will be going down the track also. What kind of pistons would be good I want to run on pump gas? Thanks For the help

You need pistons made for a 4.25 stroke and rods for those pistons/pin height. You don't need to get involved in the long rod short rod ideals for a street motor. I would go forged, JMO.
I'm the one your momma never told you about...
