Looking for a Truck to hot rod. 59 or 58 chev?
Hey, I am new to hot rodding and I've never done a frame off on a car so this will be a first. I saw a 1959 chevrolet apache fleetside short box with a wrap around rear window that I really liked and got me set on the same basic truck. I found a nice 58' apache fleetside short box with a wrap around rear window. Just about as clean as you'd want to use as a resto or hot rod.
Anyways I was just wondering if anyone knew if theres any differences between the 58 and 59? thanks, Collin |

I think the 58s and 59s would make a great project, you don't see many around where I live. It looks like the only difference is the emblems, http://www.chevytrucks.org/marvinsga...cognition.html
One nice thing about these trucks is you can find parts, theirs a few catalogs for them and you can also find parts all the time on Ebay. I'm finally at the tail end of with my 58, all we need is the Roll bar and Paint !! http://www.callieskustoms.com/Callie...r%20Truck.html One last note, this is a great message board, if you need any help on suspension, engines or transmissions this is the place to look !! |
