That book is the absolute pits, as are all the other ones that look like it. Go the Painless web site and download one of their excellent manuals.

Are the wires color coded? What kind of car are you wiring and what engine combo and what alternator and accessories?

re: looking for wiring instructions
I bought the same wiring harness, the clock only has power when key is on. The wire 'c' bundle has '60 pink-relay ignition power', don't know where than goes as no provision and '61 orange relayA' don't know where that goes either or what it's for. There are 2 relays, one for the horn and no idea what the other is for as it's not 'fan'. There should be 2 power wires( i think) going to head light switch (rear & front lights) and comes with only one.I used couresty light as power for tail lights also. Other than that it was easy, just did it section by section. I tried to keep it neat and tied, but sure have enough spagetti under the dash. The instruction book is a crap. Cisco

re: looking for wiring instructions
I looked at the Painless site, still no answers to relay wires.
On page 40 of the Orange book a cartoon says 'my wife wired our 40', maybe we should phone her up and get her to come over and help. :o) Cisco |

would i need one for my electric water pump as well? Yes, I would think so. That is something that you do not want starved for amperage due to too small a wire size. Vince Note: dang I did it again, hit edit instead of quote
