I agree, picture 2. Is this thing going to have a front mounted engine? A friend of mine built a bug many years ago with a front mounted Boss 302, toploader 4 speed and narrowed ford nine inch rearend. He used an aftermarket look alike 40 ford hood and grille kit for the radiator clearance. It was light and fast, easily carried the wheels through first gear. What a nasty little bug it was.

The first one is cool. I like that you know its a volkswagon with an attitude.
The second picture is fine too but it is trying too hard to be something it is not. The hood is looking like an early '30s late 20's hot rod - does not flow as well with the rest of the body. The first ones hood flows well and almost has an old drag car look. #1 gets my vote. Last edited by evltwin; 10-31-2005 at 08:41 AM.
