what gear ratio do you like? That cam does not need a very big converter. My old Camaro was similar to what you are thinking, except I used a scorpion intake

Flow master mufflers suck. Pick better mufflers and you will go faster.

12.7@110. can be 12.0 solid high 11's @115+ with better choices and more gear. Same money.
Watch the final assembled compression ratio. A little too much is a LOT TOO MUCH. Kinda like tighening the end cap on a pipe bomb, or hanging your toes off the edge of a cliff.

a real 10.5:1 gets it done on 94 octane. I like to keep the measured cr under 11:1 actual for street motors.

If you do want a real deal 500hp 383, thats not it. but a few changes will get you there , for the same or very near the same money. ref: 500hp ='s mid 11's@116-117MPH in that car.
you will need a better converter and more gear.
I have the option for 72cc heads as well, if I have the block machined tyo zero deck clearance and a .028 head gasket this looks like 10.48.1 ......I may look at the profilers if my Guy can get them, if not the IK200's were an option but not sure if they can be had for 72cc and I believe there at least a couple hun more....what other alum head can I look at for 1000-1100 bucks at my door with a 72 CC chamber....kinda rules out summit or jegs house brand due to shipping etc....and I know you want to see more converter but this is what I have for now.....gears aren't completely decided on yet tho....and what about a 1.6 rocker with that cam choice?

a .028" gasket will not work with a 0 deck clearance. Too tight.

any all shipping from Summit and Jegs, Flatlanders, Competition Products,,, and Factory Direct from Profiler, Brodix, Comp, Lunati etc

GeT the stuff ground shipped "shipped to the Border" go pick it up yourself and import yourself. (13%HST)
You can get a "account" with them usually a flat rate. Or pay a flat fee per package. For receiving/holding your packages, for pickup.
You just drive down and pick the stuff up declare, and pay HST at the Canadian border.

its goof proof simple to ground ship to the border and import the stuff your self.
Ogdensburg, New York (serving Ottawa and Brockville area) | Ship to the Border

This is Closer to you than "your Guy" in Montreal. Now you can shop around.

If I was going to start with a Dart cylinder head I would start with the 215 cc port Dart or the 230cc port Dart head ( for power)

The summit house brand I like and yes, I actually have a friend in ogdensberg so could have them shipped there, unfortunately I don't have a passport so I would have l have them picked up but that's still doable....

Tried copy and pasting from a 9 page thread on the Bullet but my tablet hates me so it didn't work....the numbers were dissapointing out of the box but got significantly better with some minor grinding....

Dart heads in general are very good quality thick high perf castings. But they do need a good going over to get them up to snuff from out of the box , as cast form. The SHP head is not the same as the Platinum,, Pro 1 stuff.

I would look at some other stuff before you buy. The nice thing is you have lots of choices and all winter to research.

Any thought of using a spool on the street is a deal killer. Same with the flowmaster crap mufflers .
These will kill the real power more than any thing. There are way better mufflers. Especially if you like to and plan on "Driving" your car.

Calculate HP from Trap Speed
Vehicle weight in pounds (including driver)
lbs

Trap speed at end of 1/4 mi in m.p.h.
m.p.h.

You are making : HP at the rear wheels and HP at the flywheel*.

looks like tech was right on the money

You realize you are getting real close to the price of a more power full simple supercharged 350.
you already have many of the required parts for this low buck simple blown 350.

you won't get anywhere near 500 with those heads and cam, sorry to break the news to you.
if you want to get closer, step up to a set of afr 195cc heads and go a little more intake duration.
