Trying to take out 1984 olds drum rear end for a 1996 caprice disc rear end 8.5. Now they both look identical trailing arms, springs, shocks but im wondering bout the width
and then compare.. i don't know if there is a difference or not. but i can say when i went looking for a new rear for my '49 truck i wrote down all the numbers on my old to compare the new..
never leave home without a tape..
Yes b body and b body donor. Do i measure backing plate to backing plate? Then front of rotor to the other front rotor?? Its looking like the donor might b 2 inches shorter. And how would i adjust the new donor calibers?
