low mount alt. bracket for BBC short water pump

i have a 68 camaro BBC, the problem is that i have moroso's fabricated valve covers, and a regualrly mounted alternator on both a universal bracket and marches brackets will fit but the belt will be too long, like 56 inches, this is a 9 second street car so i am afraid of tossing belts, so i wanted to mount the bracket down low, but everyone only makes it for long water pump designs which my car isnt, and for cars with electric water pumps, which i dont have either, i spoke to a few companies and they said it wasnt possible but my fabricator says it is, doe sanyone know of a company tgat makes a low mount alternator bracket for a BBC short water pump camaro??? when i spok eto march they said they are coming out with one but it wont be til summer whcih i dont have

thanks rob

Try Alan Grove Components (913) 837-4368. He makes a bracket for both the 10SI and the CS-130 alternators.

Try Vintage Air, or Hotrod Air, they both have a large selection of mounting brackets. Also Zoops has some great brackets.
