Post low profile dual quads

I see that edelbrock makes a low profile dual quad intake for small chevys. has anyone used one of these before? if not, what kind of application would this intake be good for. What kind of compression, heads, cam would you need to make this a good working set up. I think the set up looks very cool and would like to use it, but not if it isnt streetable. thanks for any input.

Actually, for an antiquated design the old Edelbrock dual-quad outfit works well. It is very streetable with it's small 500 CFM carbs and progressive linkage. Generally speaking, look for a maximum RPM range of 6500 RPM or so. Power output can come fairly close to a modern single four barrel and modern intake. The dual quad intake with low profile is very hairy looking and wins hands down in the appearance category.

Many years ago I had a 58 Vette with a dual quad manifold and 2 wcfb carbs. was really nice. ran as good as a single quad. later on I changed the manifold from stock to a Weiand and 2 AFB's, still was very streetable. I would consider it today......GlennK

I am running that intake with two 500 edelbrocks on my '68 vette. runs great; very responsive and all the vacuum accessories work too.
