the versailles rear sits just like the ogiginal rear, so all you need is a set of reverse eye springs from "mustangs plus" in the rate you need. i would give them a call, they have helped me superbly when i did my 65 coupe.
Not all of the Versailles rear assemblies were leaf spring. There are some you have to add spring pads to. That's why I asked if the trim height changed.
If the trim height is not what he is after and just lowering the car is, I would try lowering blocks or old leaf spring stock to get the desired results first. Springs are expensive and a bear to put on the car.
The Lincoln Versailles was based on the Granada/Monarch... all leaf springs, same distance apart as the 'stang, too. Mustangs Plus is an excellent source, I use them regularly, and they use what they sell so you get parts that are already tested.
