lowering my 53 buick

I've got a 53 Buick Special 4-door with the original straight 8 still in it, we rebuilt the engine last summer, so this summer I slam it! Now, since I will be doing this in my driveway and garage mostly by myself, I need to know my options, I really don't know where to start.

You could always bag it front and rear...or for a more traditional style, flip the front king pins upside down and "z" the rear or go with lowering blocks.

I always like lowering blocks. PHR slammed a project Cuda using lowering blocks and U hooks. Looks easy but im sure there is some technical way of doing it.

Look in Jegs or Summit. They have lowering kits like bags and Blocks for sale with all the hardware for like $100-$500 depending on the company.

Let me know how it went when you are done. Send me a PM or email because I am very interested in "slamming" my car.

In the old page it used to say "Hotrodders Lounge: a place to hang out and discuss non-automotive stuff". In the new version there are no descriptions........maybe that might be a reason? Otherwise I don't know either...
